UPLS 4. February 2021.

Ships sailing on the Sava River towards the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina must perform an exit or entry audit in Sremska Mitrovica. Years ago, border formalities for ships were performed on a small pontoon under the pedestrian bridge, and that has changed since last year.

The ships now dock at the makeshift port of Leget Harbor. The photos clearly show how unsafe and, to put it mildly, unbelievable, if we take into account that it is a port for transit and berthing of ships in international navigation.

As this problem has existed for more than a year, we appeal to the competent authorities, local self-government and navigation inspection to solve this problem as soon as possible and to provide Sremska Mitrovica with adequate conditions for safe berthing of ships.
